Introduction

Set in lush countryside, overlooking formal gardens and two Arnold Palmer golf courses, The K Club golf resort is known for offering the best golfing experiences in Ireland. This iconic destination began using Prommt to manage remote payments in 2019 and the payment success platform is now in use across the property.

The Challenge

The K Club is a world-renowned golf resort that has hosted some of the most prestigious events on the golfing calendar including the historic 2006 Ryder Cup.

A place of pilgrimage for golfers, the resort also appeals to a wide range of corporate and leisure guests.With a 5-star, 130-bedroom hotel, several award winning eateries, a first-class spa and an extensive range of exceptional event facilities, The K Club attracts discerning visitors from around the globe.

In 2019, the reservations team at the resort were looking for a way to better manage card payments. Previously, the resort found itself taking a high volume of card details over the phone or via email.

With data protection a key concern and an ongoing desire to provide superior guest experiences, The K Club wanted a system that would save time, improve data security, protect payments and offer guests a responsive service that would make paying as easy as possible.

In an era of GDPR and increasing levels of card fraud, taking guest payment information directly was no longer an option but the resort still wanted to provide a flexible service that would allow guests to pay via the channels that worked for them.

The Solution

Prommt was quickly identified as a solution to this challenge. The innovative payment request platform allows staff across The K Club to easily send secure, personalised payment requests to guests around the world in real-time.

These payment requests can be delivered via email, sms or any other digital messaging channel based on the guest’s preference. Prommt also integrates automatically with The K Club’s existing payment infrastructure.

Each payment request links to a personalised, e-commerce payment page, hosted on The K Club website, eliminating the need for staff at the resort to ask for card details directly, minimising the risk of fraud and chargebacks while providing guests with a seamless and superior payment experience.

Built for scale, Prommt allows teams across the resort, from meetings and events to reservations and the golf club, to collect payments in an efficient and secure manner, giving guests confidence to pay quickly.
